Hey there,

I am trying to optimize the next map chooser for my needs but my scripting knowledge of amxx is still very low so have some question to you elite scripters out there:

How can i change it to display only 4 maps instead of 5 to choose from + Extend Option?
How can i make the map chooser pick random maps from mapcycle.txt instead of maps.ini (I still want to use maps.ini for admin change map and admin vote map, so i don't want to delete it!)
How can i always make it show 3 standard maps (from mapcycle.txt) + 1 funmap (from a different file which contains only maps like fy_buzzkill, aim_map_usp and so on) + Extend Option ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help guys =)

maybe you should try getting an already made different map vote plugin, like deags map manager. search around on the forums.

I've searched very long for another next map chooser, believe me. Either the plugins are out-dated, or they simply don't work at all. I also tried Deagles Map Manager but i has a nomination system which I don't like and it doesn't have the 2 different map pools and the automatic vote map behaviour i described above.

I am a good programmer in general but I'm still new to amxx scripting, so any links where to gain some knowledge to code this plugin myself at least ?

open a sma file in a good text editor. the syntax is very similar to C and there is a wiki and function list linked from the main site. The best way to learn is to study the code of other plugins. Thats how I learned.
