You need to use:

writeip
writeid

to save'em into the file, but it's not a SM related case, while you should use sm_ban, sm_addban.

Also remember to add these lines to your server.cfg:

Quote:
exec banned_user.cfg
exec banned_ip.cfg
But FIRST you should start to SEARCH!SEARCH!LAZYSEARCH!SEARCH!ATLAST.

addip or banid write ip/id to server memory, and they'll added to .cfgs after writeip and writeid commands.

using sm_ban will fix this problem, because these commands will run writeip/writeid afterwards.

also use this on server.cfg

exec banned_user.cfg
exec banned_ip.cfg
writeid
writeip

The reason sm_ban runs writeid/writeip is because the native it uses does it. BanClient, RemoveBan and BanIdentity runs either 1 of the 2 commands based on what was being banned.
