Hi! What's the right way of using get_user_ping? I can't get it to work with get_user_ping(id), I have looked it up in the AMXX Documentation, but the data there did not really help me.

So, how can I get it right?

Look at High Ping Kicker, there are some examples of the uses of this native.

Yeah, that crossed my mind... I just thought it would be shorter to ask here. But you've got a point, that's what I'll do. Thanks!

You should try to use the function wiki, a simple search for "ping" will only find the correct native: http://www.amxmodx.org/funcwiki.php?...ping&go=search

I preffer the AMXX Documentation, it is more... detailed. Anyway, as you can see in my first post, I did find the function. My problem was that I did not know how to use it properly.

As far as I know there isn't really any up-to-date "AMXX Documentation". The best source of information is the include files, other plugins, and searching on the forums.

Yes, you've got a point there. The AMXX Documentation is truly outdated. Many functions mentioned there are now changed, removed or replaced.

I agreed.

I have learn a lot by looking at the other plugins. Then, I learn to make my own plugins with the help from others.

There's 3 steps to do if you want to learn anything about scripting for AMX Mod X.

A: Google "site:alliedmods.net <search terms>"
B: Check documentation
C: Check plugin database

The most efficient way to learn is by trial and error. It's how humans learned to walk, speak, write, type...why would programming be any different? When you try something and it works immediately, you don't know the outcome if it didn't work. If you write a function and it doesn't work 10 times but then it finally does, you understand everything about that function and the way it operates.

It's exactly what I wanted to say.
