I used the compiler both here and at dodplugins. I manually entered the code the dod_chicken.sma produced a file called testYs60ck.amxx I then tried the dod_tackle.sma and got test7jyDZk.amxx Any help would be appreciated.

Then rename the file or compile it locally

The name of each .amxx should be named dod_chicken.amxx and dod_tackle.amxx. When it compiles it produces those names I posted in the previous post. I am not sure what I did wrong. I tried to compile at amx mod x site using the .sma file but after dragging and dropping it on the browse button and hitting compile it does produce a location that I can get the .amxx file. In fact there is nothing there. (I also tried browsing and getting the .sma file with the same result.) I should also say that I used the compiler from my server and the result was a file named compiled.dat for each of those .sma's.

Do you compile through compile.exe or through the website?

Enter file name without extension, aka dod_chicken and not dod_chicken.sma

I compiled through the web site. Thank-you guys. I will see if that works. I greatly appreciate your time and effort. Thanks.

The random characters for name is normal [and necessary for a web-based compiler] if not manually given another name.

P.S. I'm sure we have played together on at least one Day of Defeat server. If you see me again, you can always add me and I'd be willing to help you out if I'm able.

I prefer giving it a folder with a random name to keep the filename intact.

I just tried to upload a default plugin to the webcompiler and it said it was not a valid file. Strange.

Well, if you define a filename as the full path to the file (since that is what makes it unique) then we are talking about the same thing essentially .
