hi,

I want that the PTB mesages are not displayed. The exec-entry is in server.cfg.

content of ptb.cfg:
Code:
ptb tellwtj off
ptb announce off
ptb sayok off
ptb typesay off
PTB ist the newest version.

But the plugin does not react correctly. It displays for example every WTJ.

Any ideas? Thx

I can disable all messages, only the "Checking Round"-Message apears, how can disable that, or is this advertising for PTBx?

Can you check the parameter values on the server console (using "ptb status")?? If the values are not correct then try to enter the ptb setting commands manually in the server console.

NOTE! rcon won't work and you must do this in the server console.

According the installation instructions you should put these values in the "autoexec.cfg" file.

Yes, you are right in that this message can't be blocked... but no it's not intended to be advertising as it informs players on what rounds team balance checks are done. There are times when team balance is blocked due to f.ex. switch frequence limit or too few players...

You can though do a trick to stop the "advertising" by changing the message text, by editing the used language files (chech the installation instructions).

OK in game via console and "ptb status" and "rcon ptb status" it displays the ptb version number.

Via HLSW there is no reply if I type "ptb" or "ptb status".

The values are in a) server.cfg, b) autoexec.cfg, c) in game set and d) via exec ptb.cfg. But everytime the same result.

So let me get this stright, you can not turn the messages off in the ptb.cfg, or by any other means, other than with the server console?

I want to get it so it only says anything when a players is swaped, as I am tring to cut down on spam from other mods/scripts.

So they is no other way to do this?

When i change the message, so that no message appears ingame, should i use:

ptb msg 1 ""

or:

ptb msg 1 "\n"

?

Think the first one should work... I guess it will print an empty line... you might though also try with one space inside the quotes... Please let us know how and what works...

PS! As you know we don't run a CSS server so it's easier if you can test...
