I am still new to SM... and maybe there is another easy way to do this.

A Plugin that can move plugins (.smx) to and from the "disabled" directory.

While playing L4D I found a recently install plugin was misbehaving. So I had to manually unload it after every map change.

I am not sure if this is possible. It is just a pain having to alt-tab to FTP in.

Pluginmanager does exactly that. Should be part of SM base really.
