Depends on the game you plan to run. I personally use Debian

Agreed grab a copy of Debian 7. x86 if your running with under 3.5Gb or x64 if you have more. You can run x86 Linux and get say all of the 8GB but its not optimized. I'd recommend running a 24 slot or under TF2 server and a 16 for CSGO. You can go crazy with CSS

We are use to 16gb ram.I understand to Debian 7x64..Thanks to you.
