A Windows TF2 Server will load files from the TF2 Server directory on server startup.

Question: What other file locations will the TF2 Server be using?

Background:
1. I purchased a new solid state drive and installed windows and TF2 Server on it.
2. I have Steam, Steamcmd, TF2 client, Apache FastDL server on a separate physical volume on the same PC.

Issue: On TF2 Server startup my disk light turns on and I can hear the physical drive being accessed. I'm wondering if the server is accessing shared files from the TF2 client install on the other volume, or perhaps from the Steam directory. I was hoping to keep all of the core files needed by the TF2 server on the solid state drive to improve performance for players.

I'm just curious to find out what is happening behind the scenes on server startup.

Try using Windows Performance Analyser. It should tell you everything.
