How to write in a cfg file from within console?

I make an empty cfg file in cstrike. And is it possible to write to it with the console?

Invalid motdfile name.
It works only for txt files. I need the same but for cfg.

You can use writecfg cfgname, but that will write the whole player config in that file.

Doesn't help. I want to write just a few commands to a new cfg file.

Open the file in Notepad then add the commands
