Hey i have a quick question, first off im not using dproto(i dont even have servers) its just a question, i dont know if im allowed to ask something about it or not since its unsupported but i just go for it.

So my question is, since dproto is actually a good thing for Serverowners cause they can get a larger playerbase than only going for Steam users.
so why doenst everyone who has a server using dporto ? do they have any disadvantage when they use it?

What dproto does is illegal. It also creates additional bugs and security holes

Ignoring the legality and stigma of running dproto servers, there's one really simple reason:

1. dproto opens your server up to exploits that don't work on non-dproto servers.

Dproto is bad it just brings alot of hackers and not english players

Proofs about security holes? As far as I know, dproto conversely, add protection for some exploits/attacks.
