I need help with the engine module!!!
Our server runs perfect with amxx!!!

Since i only modified our modules.ini (i removed the semikolon) ->
i wanted to start the engine mudule

-> The Server did'nt even start!!!! It freezes complerely

Are there any known problems with teh Engine Module?

Our Game Server System:
Linux Server, liblist2.3
Dual AMD Athlon MP 2400+

Engine is not needed unless u have plugins that requires engine module so u can safely add it back and i dont think theres known issues with
engine module freezing up server

- i know, when i add it back that the server will run -->
BUT I NEED THE ENGINE MODULE to run for a amxx Plugin.

But for linux system i need the .so file and not the .dll

oh linux sorry mate i dont have it...
try getting a fresh copy of engine.dll from a fresh download and see if the problem remains then you will know that its probably something else
if that does the same

heres the nix file I use. just rename file and take off the .zip since .so is not allowed as an extension.

Thank you for the .so (.zip) file -> but it has 0kb - no size
the file i need has about 112KB

I've just downloaded (from downloads) the newest download amxx0.16 available for linux --> i have copied the engine_amx_i386.so -->
server crahses as already known!!!

I won't work with i686 either.
A have now testet nearly all possibilities:
with the i386 modules AND the i686 Modules
METAMOD 1.17X3 / METAMOD 1.17.1
- always crashing at startup - the server doesn't start.
And when i remove the engine load - > everything is OK.

Has anyone an engine_amx_i386.so or engine_amx_i686.so FILE which is working on a linux server with liblistgam 2.3?

Are there any known Problems of the Engine module with Linux servers -
perhaps a problem like the shield bug in the stats module?
