Hi, I run a 20 man server from gameservers, via linux hosting, and up until recently, I had an older version of amx_super, that ran fantastically. Yesterday, I installed the new version, removed the old version, and now when I am close to another player, either in spec or in game, and I look at them, my FPS goes from 100+ to 25fps...

So my question is, is this happening because of the fact that this plugin requires so many modules, or could it be a specific part of the plugin that I might simply be able to disable without getting rid of the whole thing?

I tried reinstalling, checking all my server settings, making sure all the important plugins are up to date:

It's okay when I'm far away from another player, meaning it only drops my fps about 2-3fps, but this is certainly not something I or anyone else in my server wants to experience. I know it's not gameservers because it works fine with the old amx_super.

Any ideas on what could be the cause of this? I've read all the tutorials, searched for lag issues caused by this plugin, and no go.

Thats crazy. I cant imagine what that could be, but do you notice lagg? as in besides your net_graph, do you notice it when moving.

And when you disable the super, you dont get that fps issue?

Yes, I do lag, such as when I'm close to someone and shooting, it lags me. I've asked a few people in my server to be guinea pigs and see if a random player has the issue, and they do as well. So it's something probably with amx_super.

And finally, when I disable amx_super, and turn the old version back on, it works fine with no lag at all. I'm surprised the server stayed full for as long as it did with that going on.

I'm no expert, but if you have both versions of AMX Super still on the server (and turning them off and on) I bet that could cause some errors.

I'd try deleting EVERYTHING relating to AMX super. (EVERY file that comes with it) and then reinstalling a fresh version.

ok cool, I'll try completely removing the old version. all I had done before was simply put a semi colon in front to disable it.

Some people in my servers have that, some dont. I think its more of your settings and the super, besides teh fact that I have no clue what could do that and have to look into it, but i think its a combo of the super and your settings. I went to a few servers with the super and my fps does not fluctuate at all no matter how close or far from any body. Some people it does fluctuate. What type of grafix card do you have? (just curious)

AHA! I got it fixed. Apparently, the spawnprotection plugin is either buggy or takes a lot to use.

Lag problem is fixed!

And you just disabled it or took the code out?
