How can I set a maximum level for cl_forwardspeed? Because the players are increasing, there is boring: X, if the player put more than 500 he is kicked! Heelp : (.
all topics that have tried have not worked, do not know why: (((

should be fairly easy to do. I have an idea of how to make it. It is just too late. I don't have time before next week to look at it. Maybe someone get to do it before I do.

basically, Player can't run more than hero speed.

So fix your hero speed and the problem will be resolved.

Jelle forcing the change of a client var is a slow hack.

I did not think of that lol.

But if vittu is allowed to post slowhacking, why can't I just edit what he posted and post it in the same thread?

It is not considered slowhacking if you warn the clients and make them accept or decline something when they join the server. If they decline they are kicked (or something like that, you get it)

I know that, but I just can't be bothered making a menu for that.

And as freeman wrote, he can just lower the speed cvars of the heroes.

Hmm, those times I had seen in a server, which the player alter it to the CL, for example 650, a message appeared on the console, saying it was forbidden, and he was kicked when the server detects that it has changed, it was kicked, tidy up ..

Still, setting the speed cvars for the heroes right would definitely be the way to go. Then you avoid having a plugin more running, and it is ALLOT more complicated to make such thing, rather than just to lower the speed cvars. I don't get why you just don't do that?
