i may ask the dumbest question ever, but it realy need an answer for this.

how the f**k may i ban people and get their steam disabled ? as i have seen so far, or as i have heard, if you are using cheats, you-ll be banned by STEAM and so on. But the problem is that i actualy never saw anyone banned for using cheats by valve. So WTF ??? WTF anticheat are we using ? We're so helpless that nobody gives a f**k about us.

I am not lying, i personaly used a cheat to make a point and i am still a STEAM user today.

So WTF ? what's the real anticheat doing ? I am asking becouse this might be the worse anticheat EVER !

ps : i didn't know where to post it, so i hope this isn't a problem.

VAC bans are not instant and it does not catch everything.

So our servers aren't actualy protected by VAC, they are just "in sight" ...

Well many known public hacks are detected by VAC.

I got a VAC ban years ago because of cheating on a VAC secure server. I did it for like 3 or 4 days, 30 minutes or so each day. Eventually got bored with it and after 10 days I got a VAC ban, so I can't join servers which is secured by VAC. Nowadays valve isn't so kind, they'll delete your steam account if you cheat on a VAC secure server, at least if they find out.

Cheats vs anti cheats is a never ending battle, whenever valve release an update to VAC someone somewhere is going to find out how not to be detected, then they'll update it so they can but then a new one just comes out.

Essentially you could just ban them from your server and your problem is gone. I do not see many people cheating anymore on VAC secured servers. My own servers are not VAC secure and it is not often I see a cheater.

I read on their website that they did once. Maybe they went back to just VAC banning? Else I'm not really good at remembering.
