hey i have a problem with playing cs demos, when i write playdemo "demoname" in console, the demo is starting but at same moment the game crashes.. is there a way to fix it?
on Steam the demo is working fine, but on 1.6 it crashes.. i wrote this demo on 1.6 so i can't hear anything on Steam (need to listen something)

Erm, what?
A demo recorded ingame alwyas need the game to be shown.
With c1.16 and steam do you mean you recorded it on no-steam or steam?
Well, then: not our problem.
We do not support no-steamers.
If not: describe your problem more, but ONLY if we don't talk about no-steam here.

You can try "viewdemo" instead of "playdemo". Other than that you need to blame valve for breaking backwards compatibility.

Playing demo from aeenaxemeg.dem.
WARNING! aeenaxemeg.dem has an outdated demo format.

and what now? on non-steam it opens and i can hear voice, but crashes.
and on Steam, it opens (only with playdemo command) but i cant hear voice.

Is a demo really all that important? I can't imagine how it could be.

Select the demo file and press DELETE.

That didn't changed in the last few hours.
There is nothing anyone here could do to make it running again. You are on your own here.

You should check this demo on old Counter-Strike game client.
