Reply With Quote #1

hi folks,

my server keeps me busy lately.
- it runs Dark Messiah
- i use server crontab to schedule server-cfgs. (changes in this plugin always require server-restart to take effect. but i did my testing when there was nothing scheduled anyway, so there should be no interference)
- it's hosted on windows

as i constantly explain in all my threads, Dark Messiah has different game modes (mp_gametype). i don't want to give my admins rcon/cvar rights, but they should be able to change between e.g. ctf and deathmatch. so i wrote a few configs (sm_execcfg) they can execute. I made sure every file is located where it should be. For example
Quote:
//sm_colosseum.cfg
//This Config file sets the server to colosseum mode and changes the map afterwards

servercfgfile "colosseum.cfg"
mapcyclefile "mapycycle-colosseum.txt"
mp_gametype "4" //listed here explicitly, because otherwise the change would take effect 1 map later
sm_map "CLSM_CIRCUS"
Alright. This obviously is nothing too exciting, only a succession of cvars. if i change them by hand in exactly the same order, it works just fine.
Now as soon as i use sm_execcfg to do it, the map changes like it should, all settings are what they should be like BUT as soon as the maptime is over, the server simply crashes. no matter wether i force it (by setting mp_timelimit 0.2) or just waiting till it ends by itself.

would be great if anybody had an idea. i hope it's just a small error somewhere D:

best regards,
mighty
