Inaccurate, oddly worded, and ignorant.

If you plan to do a trade server, or any server for that matter, leaving it off most of the time isn't going to help your cause.

This couldn't be far from the truth, there is nothing wrong with Trade servers. The only issue is its best to join up with existing trade servers or groups rather than start another. There already seems to be enough to cover the trading base.

It is very very difficult now to start a new TF2 server since the game is rather old but Knuckles also said the main thing about it needing to be up 24/7 and not down for even a minute outside of normal upgrade periods.

Start your server up now while valve is cracking onto the fake servers. lol
If you want to start something new you could always come up with a fun gamemode, and start with that.
