[TF2] Ammo and Health spawns

I guess this idea is somewhat complicated, but here's what I want to do:
- Find all ammo/health kit spawns in the map and disable them
- Store their indexes in an array (I can do this bit. >_>)
- Spawn a single ammo/health kit on one of the disabled spawns at random, and store its index for future use

I guess my main problem (apart from general inexperience with non-player entities) is differentiating between the kit spawn points and the kits themselves. Are they separate entities or is one linked to the other?

Any help on writing such functions would be much appreciated. If anything I plan to do is impossible please say so, as well.
