Install plugins and stuff yourself on your server?

I dont know much about buying servers and that stuff so im just wondering.

When you own a server, and wants install a new plugin, can you kinda browse the amxmox folder over internet and do it yourself, and do you have to contact the host and get him to it for you?

Is this the ftp access or something that they talk about on some server sites?

And btw, if anyone know a good and cheap server host in norway (or north europe), pm me since adversiting isnt allowed...

if you ftp you juse can put the compiled .amxx in your plugins/ dir and add the plugin.amxx to plugins.ini in your configs/ dir

Thats all you get access to?

If your downloading a plugin with other .ini files and models etc.
Or needs to enable other modules.
What you do then?

XunTric, it's been my experience that when you buy hosting services from a company, they give you total FTP access to your site. With that you can add, edit, and delete files to your heart's content.

Oh my god bender, 200 to 250$ just for a month!
Way too much for me.

I live in norway, and found a place where it costs 32$ a month for a 16 man public server in amsterdam where you get a free website and teamspeak too.
(Cant say site name because adversiting isnt allowed.)

Does that sound good?
Should I do it?
