I've scoured the net in search of an addon that can detect and ban players that have aimbots on. I've seen many for CS1.6 but there are NONE for CSS. The only ones I see are ones to prevent sv_cheats and sv_pure exploits. WE NEED A PLUGIN, BE IT SM, ES, OR NOT, THAT CAN PREVENT AIMBOTS.

Come on people! I'm no SourceMod programmer, but I'm sure that this sort of plugin is in high demand!

there are 2 for sourcemod: one is snap-based(http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=58116), and the other one is amount of headshots based. snap one is better imo but both aren't perfect. If i may hijack this thread a little, it should be: a working anti-wallhack? COME ON PEOPLE.

Haha thanks. I'm still looking for a really good anti-aimbot plugin, but this will suffice for now. I still want the Cheat Hater plugin to work but the guy apparently abandoned it

If it was possible to make a really good anti-aimbot plugin then someone would have done it. Cheats are done client side so there's not much you can do against them.

would the snap check plugin be used possibly to check for wall hacking? if you can capture what the client is looking at, you can see if they can see a point on the other side of the wall?

Detecting aimbots decently is something that's not easy to do. It's not like there's some magical "detect aimbot" feature of srcds.

devicenull is correct.

Old-school aimbots used to "snap" the crosshair and were easy to catch within a few seconds of watching a player.

The newer style aimbots have a "smoothing" feature, which doesn't "snap" at all, yet hits the target if (I believe) it's in a pre-determined cone.

You might want to try K.A.C the anti-cheat plugin. I can't speak for it personally, but people have good things to say about it.

there's several stuff you can do to help to detect aimbots, but
unfortunately you'll never get a 100% detection.

I've created a "beta" plugin for DoD:S that compares the
overall hits to the hits to the head, that works pretty good,
but unfortunately not all aimbots go for the head so that's not
really useful at all.

I've already spent a lot of time thinking about some ways, for example:

- "counting" shots and comparing them to hits = doesn't work cheaters are usually not THAT stupid to only shoot when an enemie is near.

- following players eye position, detecting quick "rotation", looking for using the trigger that second = doesn't work because of the "smoothing" mentioned above + resource intense

some more stuff I can't remember anymore...
