As far as I am aware they always push big updates on a Thursday, then leave Friday as an extra day to fix any serious problems ("serious" being subjective) before the weekend comes.

But yeah, thanks SM devs for being prepared! I expect SM to be broken horribly tomorrow and will be updating them when the server finishes updating.
