I too have this problem across all my L4D 2 servers. Moving metamod.vdf out of the addons folder fixes it of course. I'm unsure if it is Metamod or Sourcemod that is the culprit.

Running mmsource-1.8.2-hg720-linux and sourcemod-1.3.3-hg2977 currently, going to try upgrading to the latest for each and see what happens.
