The best way to detect if they are idle is to test both buttons and commands.
If buttons stay the same too long, or if they don't send any commands, they're afk.
If they have +moveleft or whatever, the buttons won't change.
Testing position or angles isn't good, because it doesn't work for spectators or people with macros to hold down keys.
