Heres a good alternative:
Map Cycle Builder
It's a VB Script that generates a mapcycle .txt with all maps in your maps folder in a random order. You can exclude types of maps (eg. cs_ and de_) from the generated cycle and change the output file to maps.ini in your amxmodx\configs folder. Simply run the script whenever you put new maps into your folder ;)
