Could you all please read the thread before replying? I tried switching to SteamCMD, but whatever I try, it keeps dying with the above error. I am 100% sure I am connected to the internet as I am running more servers from my machine (not steam stuff).
I have enabled all ports (disabled IP-tables) and tried again, with no luck though. Tried everything possible without any result.
The error I get is:

EDIT TO POST ABOVE: I have been getting this error for the past month.. I don't think Steam servers were down for that long.
EDIT2: I tried registering for a new account. Still the same thing.

The 'invalid password' thing is new, but I am 10000% sure I have entered the correct password. Tried again, same result.
