I have a large database on magnetic hard drives(SATA), the OS drive of my server. The CPU utilization is low(2 used cores and 6 free), the memory usage is low, yet the web end of my database is really slow. for reference:

Executed 50 queries, generated this page in 7.4035 Seconds
How can I speed it up? Actions are only kept for 28 days, the awards program runs nightly via windows task scheduler.
