Hello guys, for the past couple of hours I have been trying to figure out what is going on and why all of a sudden my server started crashing. It's a surf server which was running perfectly fine
(except for gamemodes_server.txt). I was having an issue where when the server is empty, regardless of hibernation turned off, the
timeleft just stops and resets as soon as someone joins the server and couple of posts were saying that it's
gamemodes_server.txt issue so I made a custom one for my maplist/mapcycle. I was going through the forum to try and find out why my gamemodes_server.txt is not working properly, mapgroup was returning
No mapgroup set when I type
mapgroup in console and
maxplayers was not being overwritten.
So the search through the forums continued and I found this thread:

Went and downloaded the latest version of Stripper (from the link in the thread) and as soon as I put it in my server files everything went sideways and server started crashing as soon as I try to run it. Tried using the old
global_filters.cfg and other versions of Stripper but to no avail, still crashing.

EDIT:
I could not find what the issue was, nothing changed after updating mods, validating files, downgrading mods etc.
What fixed it was deleting and installing MM and SM again. Although gamemodes_server.txt still is not working at least my server is running
