This one should be fairly easy to do. In some games, it's important to go slowly, being aware of your surroundings. For such mods, I propose a tiny mirror mod. It would be a small mirror you could affix to the barrel of your gun, or to your knife or some other suitable object, and look around the corner, before exposing yourself to the waiting camper. I'm sure we've all seen the great things you could do with cameras in Source. The tiny mirror could be made with that, the mirror being a monitor, and a camera located in the apropriate place on the barrel, pointed in an apropriate direction.
