It was a trial & error all right. It took me hours & hours to take the whole game apart, only to realize it was the
2 Last Stand gamedata updates that rendered l4d2 unplayable. sheeesh.
Restored the old versions then disabled automatic updating of games in sourcemod.
Peace at last.
