i've thought about that as well, but it's so many IFs more in a code structure which is already quite complex. and it's only useful for one group of people: those with exactly 9 servers. and usually the game server world is not a steady one, servers come and go, a clan/community is unlikely to have exactly 9 servers and stay exactly with this number of servers for a long time.

do you mean "Back" instead of "Cancel"? imho that is probably a question of taste. some people will hate when they can't directly close the menu. just as some others will probably hate that they can't go back now.
ofc we could add the "Back" item additionally but this then would conflict your first suggestion.

sorry, i am a consistency freak. so IF i would add that additional "back" menu item i would add it so that it is there at number 8 on every menu page and deactivated when it can't be accessed.
i just imagine the average user who is on page 3 and wants to go back to the first page. i can see him constantly pressing 8 button until...oooops, he is redirecting to server 8. because on all pages it was "Back" but then it suddenly turned into a redirect key for a server.
call me bullheaded but i won't add "traps" like that.

much more than on v1.1 i am working on v2.0 as you can see in the
roadmap. and v2.0 will have the new category feature where you can group and filter servers by categories. to be precise it is already finished and an early developement version with this is even already running on some selected servers.
aaaaand, i expect most people with servers that currently need more than one menu page to make much use of that feature. in fact, who wouldn't seriously want to use it to give their menu a better overview?
i predict that will heavily reduce the need for any pagings (but ofc it's still supported for filtered servers if it's really needed).
