I have a different but interesting issue. I played the game before in 16:10 aspect ratio and have FOV changer in my server at the time, so I changed the FOV to matched well with the aspect ratio and recorded some gameplay demos at the time. But now I'm playing in standard 4:3 aspect ratio, and viewing back the demos again in this aspect ratio makes the hand model more further-placing than the standard, replicating on my FOV increased before. Which now tells me that the in-game demo also saves whatever FOV you played with during in-game recording, which makes sense. Look at the images below for more:
Spoiler
This is the screenshot from the paused demo with hud_draw 0, viewing from 4:3 aspect ratio. However, during the game recording, I've increased the FOV and played the game in 16:10 aspect ratio so now it makes the hand model more "away" when viewing it in 4:3...
This is a screenshot from the standard 4:3 aspect ratio to compare. See the difference?
This is the screenshot from the paused demo again, but this time viewing it in 16:10 with the pre-adjusted FOV-reflecting on my original point of view at the time. Much better.
For comparison, this is how CS 1.6 looks originally if you play the game in 16:10 aspect ratio. Look how bad the FOV is...
So my question of course, is there a way to re-adjust the FOV of the demo?
* sorry for the bump if I somehow pissed off anyone because of that *
