What the wiki doesn't mention (but should) is that many games won't install if you're logged in with your account. Examples of this include the various Orange Box Source server, such as HL2: Deathmatch, Day of Defeat: Source, Counter-Strike: Source, and Team Fortress 2. Those install just fine as anonymous, though.
