With the Switch generation being such a mixed bag, I'm looking at diving back into a more classic styled game of Pokemon. I was an old school Gen 1 player, played Blue & Yellow, but after them, I was never into handheld systems, never found them comfortable to play, so I basically didn't play the series at all till Pokemon Go/Switch.

I'm mostly just looking for whatever is the most generally feature rich game before they went full 3D as I love sprite art. I feel like I heard Black and White is up there along with its sequel, but figured I'd just do a quick ask about it, see some opinions.
