Yep, if we're going to make any changes in that module we should probably replace it with something that supports both games.
SteamWorks seems to be an option. We will look into it

Feel free to give more info on this if you have since I haven't noticed any crashes on my own server. Is it happening for somebody else here? If so, please speak up. If not, check if you have some other plugin that is doing something fishy...
