Memory doesn't matter really, especially with current server memory capacity. What you need first is to run plugins as fast as possible ; because since all is single-thread, speed is important. Of course you can care about memory (most of time trivial), but speed matters before all.

About the plugin, this is not my code, I mean the way of working. But I don't think you can really something about it, hooking -voicerecord seems more tricky. Well debug and see by yourself, you will understand and try if you can find a better way.
