If your FastDL webserver is on a Linux OS, make sure the filename matches the one is in mapname.res file (uppercase/lowercase), *nix systems are case sensitive and they differs.
For a GZIP setup, you have to setup your webserver to do the proper processing. In case you need, you can
check my guide on GitHub. Two of my friends already did the setup and both reported working. Let me know if that works for you
