I know someone who got a notebook. A AMD 1.2Ghz with a bad graphics card as well.

I changed his cs to run on d3d, otherwise it kept dropping FPS down to like 15. With d3d it never came under 30, witch he could play with.

If you do not know what it is, it is a VERY small laptop without CD drive (since it is too small).
