Old 09-07-2019 , 04:23   [CSGO] Server IP problem
Reply With Quote #1

So I am trying to host a csgo server for me and my friends, everything works, they can join with public ip and everything.

The problem that I have with it though is that I, a local player on the same network as the server, can see the server in Public and Lan. I can connect to it via my public ip and local ip. This makes it so that when I connect to it with my public ip my client ip is not my local ip on the server when I type status in console it shows my ip as my public ip when it should be my local ip.

This is where it gets weirder, the players who connect via my public ip also get the server's public ip as their ip in status in console. In return, everyone has the same ip which is the public ip of the server itself.

If there is anything I can do to fix this issue please tell me, if there isn't it is okay since it doesn't cause me that big of an inconvenience.

Edit #1: Idk if this helps but if I disable port forwarding on my router I can no longer see it in Public servers and only in Lan.
