It's not the symbol nor the browser. The entire text box is extremely f***ed up. This has happened to me many times, and it's the least thing that annoys me. Using [pawn] tag will break the tags when trying to edit the post, so it's basically uneditable. Blank spaces and entire blank lines are constantly added when trying to edit a post. And many more...
