since this plugin was posted, a small change was made to gamemode_server.txt where in that file it references a config file it will execute... You should put the CVar in that config file for it to execute...
example
In your CSGO folder, you have gamemodes_server.txt, look something like:
gamemodes_server.txt
PHP Code:
// To use this file, rename it to GameModes_Server.txt
//
// Values here override the default gamemodes.txt
"GameModes_Server.txt"
{
"gameTypes"
{
"classic"
{
"gameModes"
{
"competitive"
{
"maxplayers" "12" // Note that maxplayers doesn't go in the convar block.
// Another way to set maxplayers is to add -maxplayers_override XX to the cmd line.
"exec"
{
"exec" "my_competitive.cfg"
}
"mapgroupsMP" // List of mapgroups valid for this game mode ( competitive )
{
"mg_bomb" ""
"mg_hostage" ""
"mg_dust" ""
"mg_bomb_se" ""
}
}
"casual"
{
"maxplayers" "32"
"exec"
{
"exec" "my_casual.cfg"
}
"mapgroupsMP" // List of mapgroups valid for this game mode ( casual )
{
"mg_bomb" ""
"mg_hostage" ""
"mg_dust" ""
"mg_bomb_se" ""
}
}
}
}
}
}
In your csgo\cfg is where you'll have the above config files (my_casual.cfg and my_competitive.cfg for example).
my_casual.cfg
PHP Code:
"mp_autoteambalance" "0"
// And any other CVars you want to set go in this file
