DonnyAllen, You can compile plugins on your PC (Windows or Linux, doesn't matter).
Download the same version of SM as on the server (but for the OS that is on the PC), extract the scripting folder from the downloaded archive, drop the plugin source code and the necessary includes into the include folder.
After that, you can drag the source file to compile.exe (for Windows) or compile.sh (Linux).
