CSM
(Character Select Menu) by itself likely isn't the cause of the horde malfunction, it only offers menus and code to change survivors.
Why do you think it's causing that?
It might be an issue with the internal
m_survivorCharacter value that defines each survivor in general. The Survivor Character Fixes plugin does try to tinker with something called
ForEachSurvivor<PopulateActiveAreaSet> most likely related to infected spawning.
