They didn't do it for major bugs lately, so why now.

Anyway i recommend to any steam server to run the combo Re instead of valve binaries, it's much much more stable.

The big joke here is that they also provide non steam support in other seperate project.
Since alfred stopped HLDS development, is natural that REHLDS will be better than original ones, since it a newer software no?

Also if i remember, in 2013 or 2012 on last HLDS update, alfred fixed a lot of stuffs in original HLDS.
ReHLDS is not so better than HLDS, only advantage is the recent fixes and paths, also the extensions for it.

And if you think it is better because of new cvars and customs (commands too), that are never the point of original HLDS, so in my opinion you can't compare these two software's anyway.

Other proof (i guess) that reHLDS it not too stable is recent problems with pingboost param and sys_ticrate as reported on their github.

I did not looked at all, but HLTV is being updated or fixed too?
