Saying that, I'd like to mention other kinds of water that one might find in a map.
func_illusionary can act as water when its content ("skin") attribute is set to "-3".
func_conveyor is used to create flowing water with a scroll texture attached to it, like "scrollwater".
(Furthermore, one could tie a brush with a !water texture to other entities like fun_wall, either.)
