Thanks for your hard work on this plugin. It works great.

Indeed the SM menu system is annoying.
Perhaps just posting text file that can be copied into adminmenu_custom.txt might give users some more flexibility.
Nevertheless, it would be nice if it were given it's own section as opposed to adding it to an existing section.
Also, personally, I'd prefer to be able to order the list as I want to since I use some items all the time and never use others... I also am fairly aware of what my regulars use... for now I've just bound a bunch of keys on the Key Pad...

As far as the melee weapons goes... Just add them all to the menu. Really the only two weapons that are map specific I can think of are the Machete and Katana. I'm pretty sure all the rest of them can be found on all 5 maps.
So, if you're on a map that doesn't support the Katana it simply won't spawn and the server admin I'm sure has enough sense to spawn a Machete instead or simply remember which map does and doesn't support them.
Anyway, just tossing that out there... hopefully it will help simplify that piece.

Out of curiosity, is there a way to give weapons directly to players like berni's [L4D]Spawn x amount special/ common infected plugin?

I was able to make a really simple custom menu for that albeit L4D1's item list is significantly shorter. :P
