I don't know either. I've been using AMX / AMXX since they were first available to use, and I've never had this kind of a problem.

Additionally, I used to run my servers at 32 players with modified 20 player maps, but apparently my servers start kicking people and some die on respawn with the added entities so I had to set them back to 20 players. Valve insists it's AMXX's / MetaMod's issue, but I haven't had the time to disable AMXX to test that particular problem.
