yep, I knew that you need to run app_update 90 validate several times, as it was an old known issue with steamcmd, but now I'm having same as
mogold, even running it 10 times in a row, even if I login with my account instead of anonymous, its only verifying and the files in the dir are the same I posted in my first pic. In fact it's not just SteamCMD, I later tried to download HLDS from the tools section on Steam, and same thing happened, it downloaded only those few files. Currently it seems like the only way to download the latest hlds is to download the complete CS 1.6 game from Steam and run hlds from there. That's what I had to do. Valve, pls fix!
