Just because it works for you doesn't mean it will work perfectly for everyone else. The author needs to check if the entity is valid. Right now the plugin only checks if it's a valid edict which is different from being a valid entity. He should also use HasEntProp() to check if the entity has the property at the moment that the plugin modifies it.
