This is not supported because you are not using the latest master or beta version of SM Hosties. However, I believe this is a known issue when you compile old syntax plugins with the new compiler. Have you tried compiling on SM 1.7 for these older syntax plugins? Why not use the Beta SM Hosties branch which uses the newer syntax and compiles on SM 1.8?
