I'll write a letter to Valve about the ranks from the competition mode. Because I see no reason to forbid server administrators to use this feature. It does not carry a negative harm to their game and community.
Give me time, I want to wait for their answer and a review of some issues. If they refuse, I simply simply remove from the functionality the opportunity to use the ranks from the competitive mode.
